About Us
Your hosts Johanna and Derek Rundell are well traveled and have combined 12 year experience in the hospitality industry. Johanna is experienced in both the hospitality industry food and beverage areas, as well as in housekeeping. She worked as an assistant executive housekeeper; opening a popular downtown hotel during Vancouver's 1986 Expo. Both have hosted international students from all over the world. Your hosts share their home with 2 cats, Zebra and Myashi as well as a wonderful ball crazy dog named Kashi.
Your home-away-from-home in New Westminster is situated on a quiet street within walking distance to all amenities. This heritage style home is almost 100 years old and has been extensively renovated. We are a 25 minute combination bus and SkyTrain ride to downtown Vancouver. The bus stop is a less than 3 minute walk and complete bus and SkyTrain schedules can be can found on the Translink website. Moody Park is close by with an outdoor swimming pool, children's playground, basket ball hoops and tennis courts.
